This Boeing 777 is the world’s largest commercially operated aircraft to be painted all black.

The aircraft’s all black paint job is overlaid with a design featuringNew Zealand’s distinctive silver fern that extends across the rear of the aircraft up to its tail.

This type of livery paint job was extremely complex requiring 14 expert painters at Boeing working in shifts of 24 hours a day to get the job done.

Painting of the aircraft is part of Air NewZealand’s sponsorship of the New Zealand Rugby Football Union and the World Champion All Blacks rugby team.

The latest aircraft in the Air New Zealand fleet to be painted black is a Beech 1900D.

Passengers flying with Spanair just before Christmas received a surprise visitor as they travelled with the airline.

It was especially entertaining and exciting for the younger passengers in the cabin as they left the airline with a few extra packages!

The flights are on Airbus A319 and A320 aircraft, travelling in the Air Canada Executive Class (Class Affaires) cabin.

Air Canada provide a very good quality service with a comfortable cabin, very high quality food, superb in-flight entertainment and the legroom is huge!

From commercial to military, from simulators to satellites, Boeing have brought an example of almost every service and product they offer to maximise sales. This air Show is especially important to the defence side of Boeing .

Aircraft on show include a 737, 777, 787, AH-64 Apache, F/A-18 Hornet, F-15, C-17 Globemaster III and V-22 Osprey.

Boeing are promising some big announcements during this Dubai Air Show – we’ve already had the $18 billion dollar 777 order from Emirates.

This 787 was one of the test aircraft in a previous life but now has a fully fitted out cabin to show off the spacious interior and technology available to airlines and passengers.

Now they have this fantastic time lapse film of the ‘U’ shaped 777 production line to show us how they put these huge aircraft together in such an efficient way.

This new layout for building the B777 began on the drawing board back in 2005 and after many tweaks it is now fully moving aircraft production line. It now saves days in the creation of these aircraft, down from 26 days to 17, which is not only ideal for the manufacturer but also for the airlines.

Boeing are not just continually improving their aircraft!
